I’ll be honest, before I started making candles, I had no clue how to properly care for my candles - or even know that I should!

Caring for your candles is SO IMPORTANTANT, it a critical step to maintain safe burning practices, along with a longer life, and cleaner burn. Trimming your wicks the most important, but what else do you need to do?

Tips:

  • First light - When you light a new candle, allow the wax to melt across the entire top surface of the candle.

  • Storage - Never leave a burning candle unattended. Candles like the dark and may discolor in direct sunlight.

  • Maintenance - Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch and as needed before re-lighting. Limit candle burn to no longer than 3 hours at a time.
